AhR Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

Assay Genie provides this cell-based ELISA kit for the qualitative detection of the Aryl Hydrocarbon Receptor (AhR) directly in cultured cells, without the need for lysate preparation. The assay uses an indirect ELISA format in which AhR-specific primary antibodies capture the target and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies catalyze a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition, with readout measured at 450 nm. A monoclonal anti-GAPDH antibody is included as an internal positive control, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining step allows absorbance values to be normalized to cell density, accounting for plating differences.

The kit is validated for use with Human, Mouse and Rat reactivity and is intended for adherent cells. It is supplied in a 96-well microplate format with a dynamic range of > 5000 Cells. AhR is a ligand-activated transcription factor implicated in xenobiotic metabolism, cell cycle regulation, immune response, and disease contexts including cancer and autoimmune disorders, supporting basic research and drug development studies. Storage is at 4°C with a stated stability of 6 Months.

The detection method is colorimetric, and the assay enables measurement of relative AhR expression as well as screening of the effects of treatments, inhibitors (e.g., siRNA or chemicals), or activators on AhR in cultured cells.
