ADD2 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

Assay Genie offers a Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit for measuring ADD2 (beta-adducin) protein expression in cultured adherent cells. The lysate-free, high-throughput assay supports a dynamic range of more than 5,000 cells per well, with absorbance read at 450 nm, and is reactive across human, mouse, and rat samples.

Using an indirect ELISA format, the kit relies on ADD2-specific primary antibodies paired with HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies to catalyse a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition. A monoclonal anti-GAPDH antibody is included as an internal positive control for normalization, and Crystal Violet whole-cell staining can be used to determine cell density. The microplate format enables screening of treatment effects, inhibitors such as siRNA, or activators on ADD2 expression.

ADD2 is a cytoskeletal protein that promotes assembly of the spectrin-actin network, with a molecular weight of 64,217 Da and chromosomal location at 2p13.3. The kit is stored at 4°C with a stated stability of 6 months.
