Actinin alpha-2/3 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA

This Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA from Assay Genie is designed for the accurate detection of Actinin alpha-2/3 levels in cell lysates, cell culture supernatants, and tissue homogenates. The assay uses an indirect ELISA format in which Actinin alpha-2/3 is captured by specific primary antibodies, and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies bind the Fc region of the primary antibody to catalyze a colorimetric reaction read at 450 nm. The kit has a dynamic range of > 5000 Cells and is reactive with human, mouse, and rat samples.

Actinin Alpha 2 and 3 are actin-binding proteins critical to cell adhesion and cytoskeletal organization, playing key roles in cell migration, differentiation, and signaling. Dysregulation of ACTN2/3 expression has been linked to muscular dystrophy, heart disease, and cancer. The kit can be used to measure relative expression levels of Actinin alpha-2/3 in cultured cells and to screen the effects of treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), or activators on the target.

For data normalization, a monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included as an internal positive control, and Crystal Violet whole-cell staining may be used to determine cell density. The kit is stored at 4°C with a stability of 6 months.
