Actin- alpha-1 In-Cell ELISA

Assay Genie provides this cell-based ELISA kit designed to qualitatively detect Actin-alpha-1 in plated and fixed cells. The kit uses a colorimetric detection method read at 450 nm and is reactive with human, mouse, and rat samples.

Each run requires plated and fixed cells with a minimum of 5000 cells per well, and the assay can be completed in 4.5 hours. The kit is stored at 4°C and is stable for 6 months under those conditions.

The target protein, Actin-alpha-1 (gene symbol ACTA1, UniProt entry P68133), is a 42,051 Da actin isoform found in skeletal muscle that participates in cell motility, muscle contraction, and cytoskeletal structure. Mutations in the ACTA1 gene are associated with nemaline myopathy 3 and congenital myopathy with fiber-type disproportion.
