AAK1 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA

From Assay Genie, this Cell-Based ELISA Kit provides a lysate-free, high-throughput and sensitive assay for measuring AAK1 (AP2 associated kinase 1) protein expression directly in cultured cells. Designed to detect AAK1 levels in cell culture supernatants, the kit supports research into clathrin-mediated endocytosis and related disease areas including cancer, neurological disorders and viral infections.

The qualitative assay uses an indirect ELISA format, with AAK1 captured by target-specific primary antibodies and detected via HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies that catalyse a colorimetric reaction measured at 450 nm. The kit is reactive with human, mouse and rat samples and includes an anti-GAPDH antibody as an internal positive control, with a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining method used to normalise absorbance to cell density. It supports both relative quantification of AAK1 expression and screening of treatment effects, siRNA or chemical inhibitors, and activators.

Supplied in a 96-well microplate format with a dynamic range of > 5000 cells, the kit contains the buffers, wash and dilution reagents, primary and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies, substrate, stop solution, crystal violet solution and plate seals needed to run the workflow.
