8-OHdG/8-Hydroxydeoxyguanosine ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this competitive ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of 8-OHdG (8-Hydroxydeoxyguanosine) using a double-antigen sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay method. The microplate is pre-coated with a specific antigen, and the colorimetric signal is generated through an HRP-Streptavidin / TMB reaction that is stopped with an acidic solution and read at 450 nm, with concentration determined from a standard curve.

Validated for universal reactivity, the kit accepts a broad range of sample types, including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, urine, and other liquid samples. Performance specifications include a sensitivity of 0.938 ng/mL and an assay range of 1.563-100 ng/mL. Linearity has been verified in serum (n = 10) at 85-100% (1:2), 80-95% (1:4) and 88-105% (1:8), in EDTA plasma (n = 10) at 82-98%, 84-101% and 90-98%, and in heparin plasma (n = 10) at 80-96%, 81-99% and 81-100%. Recovery ranges across the same matrices are 85-105% (serum), 85-105% (EDTA plasma) and 85-100% (heparin plasma), with corresponding average recoveries of 96%, 95% and 97%.

Storage is at 2-8°C in sealed packaging, with cryopreservation to be avoided. A published study by Julia N. DeBenedictis et al. (Antioxidants, 2024; PubMed ID 39199161) has cited use of this kit in research on phytochemical-rich fruits and vegetables and chronic disease risk markers.
