4E-BP1 (Phospho-Thr36)Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Cell-Based ELISA Kit enables the qualitative detection of phosphorylated 4E-BP1 at threonine 36 in adherent cell cultures. The assay uses an indirect ELISA format in which a target-specific primary antibody captures 4E-BP1 (Phospho-Thr36), and an HRP-conjugated secondary antibody binds the Fc region of the primary antibody, catalysing a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition. A monoclonal anti-GAPDH antibody is included to serve as an internal positive control for normalising target absorbance values, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining step is provided to determine cell density.

Described as lysate-free, high-throughput, and sensitive, the kit can be used to measure relative amounts of phosphorylated 4E-BP1 in cultured cells and to screen the effects of various treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), or activators on 4E-BP1 phosphorylation. Reactivity covers Human, Mouse, and Rat samples, and the stated dynamic range is > 5000 Cells. Detection is colorimetric, read at 450 nm, in a 96-well microplate format.
