Varicella-Zoster Virus (VZV) Antigen Slides

These eight-well antigen slides from Antibodies.com provide a fixed-cell substrate for immunofluorescence-based detection of IgG and IgM antibodies directed against Varicella-Zoster Virus (VZV), the causative agent of chickenpox and shingles. Each well contains human fibroblasts infected with VZV, presenting viral antigens in their native cellular context so that patient samples can be screened for virus-specific reactivity. Following incubation with a fluorescently labeled secondary antibody, positive wells show characteristic nuclear and cytoplasmic fluorescence in infected cells, viewed under a fluorescence microscope.
