UCP SYBR Green PCR Kit (100)

From QIAGEN, this Ultra-Clean Production (UCP) SYBR Green PCR Kit provides a 2x Master Mix formulated for real-time PCR and 2-step RT-PCR using SYBR Green I chemistry. The Master Mix contains UCP DNA Polymerase — a modified recombinant 94 kDa enzyme originally isolated from Thermus aquaticus — together with UCP SYBR Green PCR Buffer (based on Tris, NH4+, K+, and Mg2+ with additives for fast cycling) and a dNTP mix of dATP, dCTP, dGTP, and dTTP.

A hot-start mechanism keeps the polymerase inactive during reaction setup, stabilised by the UCP Antibody and a novel additive called UCP Guard; the enzyme is activated by a 2 min 95°C incubation step, allowing reactions to be prepared at room temperature (15–25°C). The kit additionally includes UCP Yellow Template Dilution Buffer, UCP ROX Reference Dye supplied in a separate tube for instruments that require ROX as a passive reference, and UCP Water, all produced under ultra-clean standards to minimise contaminating DNA. The Master Mix contains an inert blue dye, and when template diluted with the yellow buffer is added the colour shifts to green, providing a visual pipetting control. The formulation is engineered for high specificity, broad dynamic range, and high inhibitor resistance in microbiome workflows, and is compatible with most real-time cyclers, supporting applications such as gene expression analysis, validation assays, and genotyping.

The kit is intended for molecular biology applications and is not intended for the diagnosis, prevention, or treatment of a disease. It is shipped on dry ice and should be stored at −30 to −15°C protected from light; the Master Mix, dilution buffer, and ROX dye may alternatively be stored at 2–8°C for up to 6 months. Each lot is tested against predetermined specifications under QIAGEN's ISO-certified Quality Management System.
