QuantiNova SYBR Green RT-PCR Kit (2500)

From QIAGEN, this SYBR Green RT-PCR kit is part of the QuantiNova family — the brand's most advanced generation of real-time PCR and RT-PCR kits, designed to replace the QuantiFast and Rotor-Gene PCR kit product lines. It delivers accurate and rapid real-time quantification of RNA targets in an easy-to-handle format suitable for use with total RNA from eukaryotes and prokaryotes, as well as poly(A)- RNA and in vitro-transcribed RNA.

A novel two-phase hot-start procedure underpins the kit's high specificity and sensitivity. The HotStarRT-Script Reverse Transcriptase is associated with an RT-blocker, rendering the enzyme almost inactive at ambient temperature so that reaction setup can be performed at room temperature without the risk of primer–dimer formation. The second hot-start phase uses QuantiNova DNA Polymerase together with QuantiNova Guard, a unique additive that improves the stringency of the antibody-mediated hot-start. Q-Bond, an additive in the RT-PCR buffer, enables short cycling steps without loss of PCR sensitivity and efficiency.

The kit is supplied with an optional Internal Control RNA to monitor successful reverse transcription and to report instrument or chemistry failures, assay setup errors and the presence of inhibitors. A separate ROX Reference Dye is included for normalisation on Applied Biosystems instruments and can be added to the master mix for long-term storage. The product is intended for molecular biology applications and should be stored at –15 to –30 °C, protected from light.
