TissueLyser Single-Bead Dispenser, 5mm

From QIAGEN, the 5 mm TissueLyser Single-Bead Dispenser is designed for efficient and user-friendly dispensing of grinding beads into disruption vessels for sample homogenization using the QIAGEN TissueLyser system. It dispenses individual beads into standard 2 ml microcentrifuge tubes, with the 5 mm reservoir holding 150 beads. The dispenser fits onto a Gilson Carrousel Pipette Stand and is operated by pushing the plunger to release a single bead into a reaction tube. A funnel is included for filling the reservoir.

For best results, beads should be dispensed into the disruption vessel before adding lysis buffer or sample, and only beads of the specified size should be used. Cleaning should be limited to washing-up liquid and water — aggressive reagents such as acetone must be avoided. The dispenser should not be autoclaved, heat-sterilized, or dismantled, and should be stored dry at room temperature (15–25°C).
