TeSR-E6

A defined, xeno-free cell culture medium, TeSR-E6 supports the maintenance of human pluripotent stem cells (hESCs and hiPSCs) in research and translational workflows. Developed in collaboration with Dr. James Thomson's laboratory, this streamlined formulation contains only the essential recombinant proteins and small molecules required to sustain undifferentiated cell proliferation on matrices such as Matrigel or vitronectin, eliminating the need for mouse embryonic fibroblast feeders or conditioned media.

The simplified E6 composition reduces batch-to-batch variability and supports long-term genomic stability over multiple passages, making it a practical choice for stem cell maintenance, disease modeling, drug screening, and regenerative medicine studies. TeSR-E6 ships as a ready-to-use 500 mL bottle; refrigerate upon arrival, aliquot working volumes, and protect from light. Researchers typically pair the medium with gentle cell dissociation reagents such as ReLeSR for passaging.
