Laminin-521, 500 µg

A defined, xeno-free cell culture matrix from STEMCELL Technologies designed to support the long-term maintenance of human embryonic stem (ES) cells and induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells under feeder-free conditions. CellAdhere™ Laminin-521 increases single-cell attachment and survival compared to other matrices and does not require the addition of apoptotic inhibitors during plating. When used in combination with mTeSR™1, mTeSR™ Plus, TeSR™-E8™, or TeSR™-AOF, the system allows complete control over the culture environment, resulting in consistent cell populations and reproducible results in downstream applications.

The product is supplied as a 100 μg/mL solution of recombinant protein composed of entirely human sequences. Store at -20°C to -80°C; the matrix is stable until the expiry date (EXP) on the label. To coat cultureware, thaw at 2 - 8°C and dilute in Dulbecco's phosphate-buffered saline (DPBS) with Ca++ and Mg++ to a final concentration of 5 - 10 μg/mL. Gently mix without vortexing, then add to cultureware at the recommended volumes: 0.5 mL/well for 12-well plates, 1 mL/well for 6-well plates, 3 mL/flask for T-25 cm² flasks, and 8 mL/flask for T-75 cm² flasks. Incubate at 2 - 8°C overnight, or at 37°C for at least 2 hours when faster coating is required. Coated cultureware may be stored at 2 - 8°C for up to 4 weeks, provided the surface does not dry out.
