A specialized cell culture additive from STEMCELL Technologies, the StemSpan Myeloid Expansion Supplement drives the in vitro proliferation and differentiation of hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells (HSPCs) toward monocytes, granulocytes, and dendritic cells. The serum-free, defined formulation combines recombinant cytokines and growth factors optimized for myeloid lineage commitment.

The supplement is typically used alongside StemSpan SFEM II medium and is supplied in a single-use vial format appropriate for processing standard cell culture volumes. For optimal cytokine activity, store frozen at -20 °C or colder, protect from light, and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles; thaw the vial immediately before adding to freshly seeded CD34+ cells.
