A defined, serum-free formulation from STEMCELL Technologies that directs human pluripotent stem cells (hESCs and iPSCs) toward mesodermal lineages during a 6-day differentiation workflow. This 100 mL bottle supports consistent generation of hematopoietic, cardiac, endothelial, and mesenchymal progenitor populations from feeder-free pluripotent cultures, making it a foundational step in lineage-specific differentiation protocols.

The induction medium is applied during the mesoderm specification phase, typically after expansion in mTeSR Plus or another defined maintenance system. Once mesoderm is induced, downstream STEMdiff kits can be used to drive commitment toward hematopoietic, cardiac, or endothelial cell fates. The animal-component-free composition reduces lot-to-lot variability and supports reproducible differentiation outcomes across operators and experiments.

Provided as a frozen cell culture medium for research use only, the product should be stored at -20 degrees C and thawed at 2 to 8 degrees C before use.
