STEMdiff Hematopoietic Basal Medium

A serum-free, defined basal medium that supports hematopoietic differentiation workflows in human pluripotent stem cell research, supplied by STEMCELL Technologies. When combined with the matching STEMdiff Hematopoietic Supplement, this basal formulation provides a complete medium for converting human embryonic stem cells or induced pluripotent stem cells into CD34+ hematopoietic progenitor cells under both embryoid body and monolayer culture conditions.

Delivered in a 100 mL bottle, the medium is intended for in vitro research use and supports diverse downstream applications. These include colony-forming unit assays for myeloid and erythroid progenitors, flow cytometry characterization of CD34 and CD45 surface markers, and continued lineage specification toward mature blood cell types. For handling, thaw frozen working aliquots before use, store refrigerated between sessions, and protect from light to preserve component activity.
