From the Eppendorf microtube range covering 0.2 ml to 2 ml, these 2 ml Safe-Lock tubes in yellow feature a hinged Safe-Lock lid designed to prevent unintentional opening during incubation and storage, with precise sealing for minimal evaporation rates during long-term storage.

Made from polypropylene, the tubes offer high chemical and mechanical resistance and are manufactured without the use of slip agents, plasticizers or biocides. A frosted lid and side surface allow easy labelling. Centrifugation stability up to 30,000 × g helps prevent sample loss due to tube breakage, providing extra safety when working with hazardous samples.

Functional temperature range spans −86 °C to 100 °C, and the tubes are autoclavable when open at 121 °C for 20 minutes.
