Description
Manufactured by Eppendorf, these polypropylene reaction vessels are designed for the recovery and storage of DNA and RNA samples. The 0.5 mL DNA LoBind tubes feature a SafeLock closing mechanism and offer high transparency. They are certified PCR clean and produced free from DNA, RNA, DNase, RNase, and ATP. The product is supplied non-sterile.
The tubes incorporate specific surface properties intended to maximize sample recovery. They demonstrate a loss rate of less than 1% at the weakest DNA/RNA concentrations and can be centrifuged up to 30,000 g. For protein work, reduced BSA losses of less than 3% at 1 µg/L are reported, with centrifugation possible up to 18,000 g. The tubes are completely free from surface treatments such as silicones, and denaturing effects from the tube surface are virtually excluded.
