Designed to protect samples during incubation and storage, these 2.0 ml Eppendorf Safe-Lock micro test tubes feature a hinged lid that prevents unintentional opening, combined with precise sealing for minimal evaporation during long-term storage. Made of polypropylene, the tubes offer high chemical and mechanical resistance and are manufactured without the use of slip agents, plasticizers and biocides. Centrifugation stability up to 30,000 × g helps prevent sample loss due to tube breakage, providing extra safety when working with hazardous samples.

A frosted lid and side surface allow easy labelling. The tubes are guaranteed to function from -86 °C to 100 °C and are autoclavable when open at 121 °C for 20 minutes.

In the PCR Clean purity grade, the tubes are certified free from human DNA, DNase, RNase and PCR inhibitors. The absence of human DNA is verified by PCR analysis with a detection limit of ≤2 pg DNA, a quantity smaller than a single human cell.
