Designed to maximize recovery of precious nucleic acids, Eppendorf DNA LoBind 2.0 mL tubes minimize sample-to-surface binding through special manufacturing technologies and selected polypropylene batches. The result is nearly 100% recovery of DNA and RNA molecules without the need for surface coatings such as silicone, eliminating the risk of sample interference. Denaturing effects of the tube surface are virtually excluded.

The tubes feature a SafeLock closure, high transparency, and precise lid sealing for minimal evaporation. They are batch-tested and certified by an independent laboratory to be free from DNA, DNase, RNase, and PCR inhibitors. Loss rate is less than 1% at the weakest concentrations, while protein losses are reduced to less than 3% of BSA at 1 µg/l. The 2.0 mL format is rated for centrifugation up to 25,000 × g for molecular biology applications.
