Manufactured by Eppendorf, these 0.5 ml Safe-Lock micro test tubes are colourless and supplied in PCR Clean quality, featuring a hinged Safe-Lock lid engineered to prevent unintentional lid opening during incubation and storage. The precise lid sealing keeps evaporation rates to a minimum during long-term storage.

The tubes are made of polypropylene, providing high resistance to chemicals, mechanical stress and temperature extremes, and are manufactured without the use of slip agents, plasticizers and biocides. Centrifugation stability is rated up to 30,000 × g, which helps prevent sample loss due to tube breakage and adds extra safety when working with hazardous samples. Functionality is guaranteed from -86 °C to 100 °C, and the tubes are autoclavable when open at 121 °C for 20 minutes.

A large frosted lid and a frosted surface on the side make labelling straightforward. The PCR Clean grade is certified free from human DNA, DNase, RNase and PCR inhibitors.
