Manufactured by Eppendorf, these 1.5 ml Safe-Lock micro test tubes in yellow feature a hinged Safe-Lock lid designed to prevent unintentional lid opening during incubation and storage, with precise sealing to minimise evaporation rates during long-term storage.

Constructed from polypropylene, the tubes offer high chemical and mechanical resistance and are manufactured without the use of slip agents, plasticizers and biocides. A frosted lid and frosted surface on the side allow easy labelling. The tubes provide good centrifugation stability up to 30 000 × g, helping to prevent sample loss due to tube breakage and offering extra safety when working with hazardous samples. They are guaranteed to function from -86 °C to 100 °C and are autoclavable when open at 121 °C for 20 minutes.
