Manufactured from polypropylene, they offer high resistance to chemicals, mechanical stress and temperature extremes, and are produced without slip agents, plasticizers or biocides that could leach into samples and interfere with bio-assay results.

Depending on the tube variant, exceptional centrifugation stability of up to 30,000 × g helps prevent sample loss due to tube breakage and provides additional safety when working with hazardous samples. Precise lid sealing supports minimal evaporation rates during long-term storage, while a large frosted lid and side surface allow easy labeling. Functionality is ensured from -86 °C to 100 °C, and the tubes are autoclavable when open at 121 °C for 20 minutes.

The PCR Clean purity grade certifies that these colourless tubes are free from human DNA, DNase, RNase and PCR inhibitors, making them suitable for PCR and other molecular biology applications. The absence of human DNA is verified by PCR analysis with a detection limit of ≤2 pg DNA.
