These 1.5 ml colourless microcentrifuge tubes from Eppendorf are designed for secure sample handling, featuring a hinged Safe-Lock lid that prevents unintentional opening during incubation and storage. Manufactured from polypropylene, the tubes offer high resistance to chemicals, mechanical stress and temperature extremes, with a precise lid sealing for minimal evaporation during long-term storage.

The tubes deliver exceptional centrifugation stability up to 30,000 × g (g-Safe®), helping prevent sample loss from tube breakage and providing additional safety when working with hazardous samples. They are produced without the use of slip agents, plasticizers, or biocides—substances known to leach from plastic consumables and affect bio-assay results. Functionality is ensured from -86 °C to 100 °C, and the tubes are autoclavable when open at 121 °C for 20 minutes.

Designed with a conical bottom and external dimensions of 10.8 mm in diameter and 41 mm in height, the tubes include a large frosted lid and side surface for easy labeling. They are available in lot-certified PCR clean, Eppendorf Forensic DNA Grade, and Biopur® quality for tested purity, as well as in Eppendorf Protein and DNA LoBind material for maximum recovery of valuable samples, and in Amber for light-sensitive samples.
