Part of the Safe-Lock range, these 1.5 mL blue micro test tubes from Eppendorf are supplied in Eppendorf Quality grade. The line reflects 50 years of continuous improvement and development, with the hinged Safe-Lock lid designed to prevent unintentional lid opening during incubation and storage.

Manufactured from polypropylene, the tubes offer high resistance to chemicals, mechanical stress and temperature extremes, and are produced without slip agents, plasticizers or biocides. Precise lid sealing provides minimal evaporation rates during long-term storage. Depending on the Safe-Lock Tube variant, exceptional centrifugation stability up to 30,000 × g helps prevent sample loss due to tube breakage and adds safety when working with hazardous samples.

Functionality is ensured from -86 °C to 100 °C, and the tubes are autoclavable when open at 121 °C for 20 minutes. A large frosted lid and side surface provide space for easy labeling.
