Made by Eppendorf, these 1.5 ml amber Safe-Lock micro test tubes feature a hinged Safe-Lock lid that prevents unintentional opening during incubation and storage. The polypropylene construction provides high resistance to chemicals, mechanical stress and temperature extremes, and the tubes are manufactured without the use of slip agents, plasticizers and biocides. They are supplied in Eppendorf Quality purity grade.

A precise lid sealing mechanism supports minimal evaporation rates during long-term storage. The frosted lid and side surface allow easy labeling. Centrifugation stability is rated up to 30,000 × g, helping prevent sample loss due to tube breakage and providing extra safety when working with hazardous samples.

Functional temperature range is guaranteed from -86 °C to 100 °C, and the tubes are autoclavable when open at 121 °C for 20 minutes.
