Manufactured by Eppendorf, these 0.5 ml green micro test tubes are made of polypropylene, providing high chemical and mechanical resistance. The hinged Safe-Lock lid is designed to prevent unintentional lid opening during incubation and storage, while precise lid sealing helps to minimise evaporation rates during long-term storage.

The tubes are manufactured without the use of slip agents, plasticizers and biocides. A frosted lid and surface on the side allow for easy labeling. They offer centrifugation stability up to 30,000 × g, helping to prevent sample loss due to tube breakage and providing extra safety when working with hazardous samples.

Functionality is guaranteed from -86 °C to 100 °C, and the tubes are autoclavable when open (121 °C, 20 min). They are available in a choice of purity grades, including Eppendorf Quality, PCR Clean, Forensic DNA Grade and Biopur.
