RT_ SYBR Green Fluor qPCR Mastermix (24)

A SYBR Green-based real-time PCR mastermix from QIAGEN, formulated for sensitive and specific amplification in qPCR workflows. The mix contains real-time PCR buffer, a HotStart DNA Taq polymerase, nucleotides, and SYBR Green dye, with fluorescein included for use on instruments that require fluorescein as a reference dye. The chemically modified HotStart enzyme prevents the amplification of primer–dimers and other nonspecific products, delivering high amplification efficiency, sensitivity, and specificity across a wide dynamic range.

The Fluor format is intended for SYBR Green-based real-time PCR on instruments that use fluorescein as a reference dye, including the Bio-Rad models iCycler, iQ5, MyiQ, and MyiQ2. It is suitable for use with RT2 Profiler, RT2 lncRNA, EpiTect ChIP, and EpiTect Methyl PCR Arrays, and QIAGEN recommends combining it with the RT² First Strand Kit for reverse transcription. RT² qPCR Primer Assays can be used with the mastermix on any real-time instrument.

Dissociation (melting) curve analysis at the end of the PCR run allows the homogeneity of PCR products, including primer–dimers, to be assessed and reaction specificity to be confirmed. The mastermix is supplied ready to use, should be stored frozen, thawed on ice, and protected from repeated freeze–thaw cycles, and is intended for research use only.
