RT_ SYBR Green Fluor qPCR Mastermix (12)

A SYBR Green-based fluorescent qPCR master mix from QIAGEN designed for sensitive detection and reliable quantification in real-time PCR assays. The mix contains a real-time PCR buffer, a high-performance HotStart DNA Taq polymerase, nucleotides, and SYBR Green dye, with the chemically-modified HotStart enzyme preventing amplification of primer–dimers and other nonspecific products to deliver high specificity and reproducibility across replicates.

Formulated for real-time PCR instrumentation that uses fluorescein as a reference dye, including Bio-Rad models such as the iCycler, iQ5, MyiQ, and MyiQ2. The master mix is also suited for use with RT2 Profiler, RT2 lncRNA, EpiTect ChIP, and EpiTect Methyl PCR Arrays. A dissociation (melting) curve can be generated at the end of the PCR run by denaturing the components at 95°C, annealing at a primer-specific temperature, and then gradually raising the temperature to 95°C while monitoring fluorescence, allowing assessment of PCR product homogeneity. The product should be stored at –20°C and used according to the supplied protocol.
