Repro,Maint& Diff hPSCs Course-UK-Spring

Delivered by STEMCELL Technologies, this intensive hands-on training course teaches the core techniques required to work with human pluripotent stem cells (hPSCs) in vitro. Held in the United Kingdom during the spring session, the programme combines lectures and laboratory-based practical sessions covering reprogramming of somatic cells to a pluripotent state, routine maintenance and passaging of hPSC cultures, and directed differentiation toward multiple lineages.

Participants gain experience with current methods including non-integrating reprogramming vectors, culture on both feeder-dependent and feeder-free matrices, embryoid body and monolayer differentiation protocols, and quality control assessment by immunocytochemistry and flow cytometry. Course content also addresses troubleshooting common culture problems, cryopreservation and banking workflows, and best practices for maintaining contamination-free cell lines for research use only.

Registrants are provided with course manuals, reagent lists, and protocol packages to take back to their own laboratories. Lunches, refreshments, and laboratory consumables for the practical sessions are included. Successful completion is documented with a certificate of attendance issued by STEMCELL Technologies. The course is delivered in English and supports graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, technical staff, and R&D scientists with prior cell culture experience. Spaces are limited to maintain a low instructor-to-participant ratio during the hands-on bench work.
