STEMCELL Technologies' intensive hands-on training program in California provides researchers with practical instruction in reprogramming, maintenance, and differentiation of human pluripotent stem cells (hPSCs). Over 5 days, participants gain experience with induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) generation using non-integrating reprogramming methods, feeder-free and feeder-dependent culture systems, and directed differentiation protocols toward ectoderm, mesoderm, and endoderm lineages.

The Spring session covers essential quality control workflows including karyotyping, mycoplasma testing, flow cytometry characterization of pluripotency markers, and cryopreservation of cell banks. Attendees receive protocol manuals, reagent lists, and access to STEMCELL Technologies' technical support resources for six months following the course.

This professional development opportunity serves principal investigators, postdoctoral fellows, graduate students, and laboratory technicians establishing or expanding hPSC programs. The small-group format (typically 12-16 participants per cohort) ensures personalized instruction from senior scientists with active hPSC research programs. Registration includes lunches, refreshments, and a course completion certificate.

Prerequisites include prior cell culture experience and familiarity with basic molecular biology techniques. The course fee covers all reagents, consumables, and training materials provided in pre-aliquoted vials for individual bench use; travel and accommodation are arranged separately by attendees.
