Rat Superoxide Dismutase 2, Mitochondrial ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat SOD2/MnSOD in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microtiter plate (12 x 8 well strips) and runs for 4 hours 30 minutes. Detection is colorimetric, with absorbance read at 450 nm. Standards and samples are added to the wells, where SOD2/MnSOD binds to the immobilised capture antibody; biotinylated anti-SOD2/MnSOD antibody and HRP-avidin conjugate are then added, and TMB substrate is used to visualise the reaction, producing a yellow product after addition of acidic stop solution. The reported product range is 62.5–4000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of <25.3 pg/ml. Sample recovery values (n=5) are 80%–102% (average 91%) for serum, 81%–100% (average 90%) for EDTA plasma and 80%–89% (average 84%) for heparin plasma. Dilution linearity across 1:2 to 1:16 spans 74%–107% for serum, 79%–108% for EDTA plasma and 82%–105% for heparin plasma. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and not used past the expiration date.
