Rat Neurocan ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Neurocan in tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated microplate (12 x 8 well strips) with an anti-Neurocan capture antibody, followed by incubation with a biotinylated anti-Neurocan detection antibody and HRP-Avidin conjugate. Signal is developed using TMB substrate and quantified by measuring absorbance at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. The reported sensitivity is 0.055 ng/ml and the working assay range is 0.156–10 ng/ml. Kit components are stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed, and the product is intended for research use only.

Spike-and-recovery performance in serum (n=5) ranged from 80% to 102% with an average of 91%; in EDTA plasma (n=5) from 81% to 100% averaging 90%; and in heparin plasma (n=5) from 80% to 89% averaging 84%. Linearity was assessed at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16, yielding recoveries of 87%–91%, 87%–107%, 74%–101% and 92%–97% for serum; 90%–105%, 84%–101%, 90%–101% and 79%–108% for EDTA plasma; and 84%–95%, 92%–105%, 82%–105% and 89%–91% for heparin plasma.
