Rat Interleukin 6 ELISA Kit

Antibodies.com offers a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) kit for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Interleukin 6 (IL-6) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay is run on a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) and read on a colorimetric microplate reader at 450 nm after addition of TMB substrate and acidic stop solution.

According to the manufacturer, the assay has a standard range of 7.81–500 pg/ml and a sensitivity of <3.11 pg/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported spike-and-recovery values are 80–102% (average 91%) for serum, 81–100% (average 90%) for EDTA plasma and 80–89% (average 84%) for heparin plasma. Dilution linearity has been evaluated for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions. Kit components are stored at +4 °C or –20 °C as instructed in the protocol and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
