Rat Haptoglobin ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Haptoglobin in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique on a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips): Haptoglobin in standards and samples is captured by an immobilised anti-Haptoglobin antibody, detected with a Biotinylated Anti-Haptoglobin Antibody, and visualised using an HRP-Avidin conjugate with TMB substrate. After addition of acidic stop solution the colour change is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, and Haptoglobin concentration is calculated against the standard curve.

The kit has a quantitative measuring range of 15.6–1000 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <7.3 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported mean recovery is 95% (89–101%) in serum, 96% (91–101%) in EDTA plasma and 96% (91–101%) in heparin plasma (n=5 for each), and dilution linearity has been demonstrated for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions. Components supplied include the pre-coated 96-well microplate, lyophilised standard, Detection Solution A, Detection Solution B, 30X Wash Buffer, Sample Dilution Buffer, TMB Substrate, Stop Solution and plate sealers; kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
