PneumaCult Airway Organoid Basal Medium

Developed by STEMCELL Technologies, the PneumaCult Airway Organoid Basal Medium is a serum-free formulation optimized exclusively for human airway organoids derived from primary bronchial epithelial basal cells. When combined with the PneumaCult Airway Organoid Supplement, the basal medium generates a complete culture system capable of sustaining self-renewing airway spheres embedded in 3D Matrigel domes that recapitulate the mucociliary epithelium of the human airway. Researchers in respiratory biology use this system for in vitro disease modeling of cystic fibrosis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, asthma, and SARS-CoV-2 infection, as well as differentiation studies and therapeutic screening. The 490 mL bottle is shipped frozen, stored at -20 degrees C for long-term stability, and thawed at 2-8 degrees C for short-term handling before aliquoting, and is intended for research use only in cell culture workflows.
