NeuroCult Neuronal Plating Medium

A serum-free plating medium optimized for the initial attachment and survival of primary neurons dissociated from rodent embryonic or postnatal neural tissue. NeuroCult Neuronal Plating Medium is formulated by STEMCELL Technologies to support rapid neurite outgrowth during the critical first 24 to 48 hours after seeding, when viability is most vulnerable. The medium is typically used as a short-term coating-and-feeding solution before transitioning cultures to a neuronal maintenance medium for long-term experiments.

This reagent is intended for neuroscience research laboratories plating hippocampal, cortical, dopaminergic, or motor neurons at defined densities for downstream applications such as immunocytochemistry, live-cell imaging, electrophysiology, and high-content screening of neurite development. Each bottle is supplied as a 100 mL ready-to-use liquid; storage at refrigeration temperature protects cytokine and amino acid stability.
