MyoCult-SF Exp 10X Supplement (Human)

Formulated by STEMCELL Technologies for serum-free in vitro culture, the 10X supplement is added to MyoCult-SF Expansion Basal Medium to support robust expansion of primary human skeletal muscle satellite cells and myoblasts. This concentrated additive delivers defined growth-promoting signals that maintain myogenic progenitors through multiple population doublings, making it well suited for regenerative medicine, neuromuscular disease modeling, and skeletal muscle tissue engineering workflows. Typical downstream applications include Pax7 and MyoD immunostaining, fusion index analysis, and preparation of cells for transplantation studies.

Supplied as a frozen 10X concentrate in a single vial, the supplement is thawed at 4°C, aliquoted into single-use volumes to limit freeze-thaw cycles, and stored protected from light at -20°C. Once diluted into complete medium, it supports cell culture in 6-well or 24-well plate formats, with subculture periods of 7 to 10 days between passages. The defined, serum-free composition minimizes lot-to-lot variability and provides reproducible expansion of human muscle stem cells for cell therapy development and basic myogenesis research.
