mFreSR, 10 x 5mL

mFreSR™ from STEMCELL Technologies is a defined, serum-free cryopreservation medium developed for the cryopreservation of human embryonic and induced pluripotent stem cells (ES and iPS cells).

The medium contains dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO) and is supplied complete and ready-to-use. When combined with mTeSR™1, TeSR™2, or mTeSR™ Plus, mFreSR™ eliminates the need for feeder layers and serum. Human ES and iPS cells cryopreserved in mFreSR™ show thawing efficiencies described as higher than those reported with conventional thawing methods that use serum, and the product has been reported to work effectively with controlled freezer systems for feeder-free pluripotent stem cell cryopreservation.
