The product contains material derived from human plasma. Donors have been tested and found negative for HIV-1 and -2, hepatitis B, and hepatitis C prior to donation; nevertheless, the product should be considered potentially infectious and handled using controls and personal protection appropriate for biohazardous infectious materials, as described in the Canadian Biosafety Standards and Guidelines (CBSG), Second Edition. Recommended storage is to keep containers tightly closed in a dry, cool, and well-ventilated place. In case of eye contact, the SDS advises rinsing thoroughly with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes, lifting the lower and upper eyelids, and consulting a physician.
