MesenCult-hPL Medium Kit

Xeno-free expansion of human mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) is supported by this two-component culture system from STEMCELL Technologies, which pairs a defined basal medium with a 5X human platelet lysate (hPL) supplement. The formulation replaces fetal bovine serum in MSC workflows and sustains high proliferation rates while preserving trilineage differentiation potential into osteogenic, chondrogenic, and adipogenic lineages.

The system supports MSCs derived from bone marrow, adipose tissue, umbilical cord tissue, and other connective tissue sources under adherent culture conditions. Each kit format pairs a multi-mL bottle of basal medium with a vial of 5X supplement, intended for use at 37 degrees C in a humidified 5% CO2 incubator. The supplement should be stored frozen at -20 degrees C and the basal medium refrigerated until use.
