MesenCult-ACF Freezing Medium

Cryopreservation medium for mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs), formulated as a ready-to-use, animal component-free (ACF) solution that supports high post-thaw viability after long-term storage in liquid nitrogen vapor phase. The serum-free, chemically defined composition from STEMCELL Technologies eliminates lot-to-lot variability tied to animal-derived sera and pairs with the MesenCult-ACF attachment and proliferation media system. Supplied frozen in a single-use bottle format, it contains 10% DMSO as the cryoprotectant and should be stored at -20°C, protected from light, until first use. Thaw overnight under refrigeration, then resuspend cells at approximately 1x10^6 cells per mL in pre-cooled cryovials before transferring to the vapor phase of a liquid nitrogen tank. Used by researchers in regenerative medicine, MSC banking, and tissue engineering workflows, the medium preserves colony-forming unit-fibroblast (CFU-F) capacity and trilineage differentiation potential after thawing.
