Maint. & Diff. of hPSCs Course-UK-Winter

Hands-on training delivered by STEMCELL Technologies provides intensive practical instruction in the maintenance and differentiation of human pluripotent stem cells (hPSCs). This UK winter workshop targets laboratory researchers establishing or refining hPSC culture workflows, with bench-based curriculum covering feeder-free and feeder-dependent culture systems, enzymatic and mechanical passaging using reagents such as ReLeSR, colony morphology assessment, cryopreservation with CryoStor, and directed differentiation toward ectoderm, mesoderm, and endoderm lineages. Attendees receive guided instruction on quality control checkpoints, mycoplasma screening, karyotype monitoring, and best practices for long-term maintenance of pluripotency markers including OCT4 and TRA-1-60. The course integrates lecture content with extended hands-on cell culture sessions in a small-group format to ensure individual mentorship at the bench. Topics include matrix selection (e.g., Matrigel, vitronectin), defined TeSR media options, embryoid body formation, and troubleshooting common culture problems. Enrollment includes all course materials, reagents, and refreshments; travel and accommodation are not included.
