ImmunoCult-ACF Ms B Cell Expansion Supp

STEMCELL Technologies supplies this serum-free, animal component-free (ACF) supplement as a 50X concentrate for use with ImmunoCult™-XF B Cell Base Medium in the in vitro culture and expansion of mouse splenic B cells. Together, the components support consistent B cell activation and expansion and maturation to plasmablasts or plasma cells, with cells ready for downstream applications after 6 - 9 days in culture.

According to the manufacturer's product document, mouse B cells cultured in the complete expansion medium expanded 176.9 ± 29.8-fold after 9 days of culture. Expansion is accompanied by phenotypic changes characteristic of B cell activation and maturation, including upregulation of CD86 and CD138. Cultures are maintained at 37°C and 5% CO₂ in a humidified incubator. The supplement is stored at -20°C and is stable for 3 years from the date of manufacture. The kit does not support thawed frozen mouse pan-B cells.

The product is an opaque pink liquid. Its safety data sheet states that it is not classified as a hazardous substance or mixture under the Globally Harmonized System (GHS), although it is identified as harmful to aquatic life with long lasting effects. It is intended for research use only and is not intended for human or animal diagnostic or therapeutic uses.
