Human Tumor Necrosis Factor beta ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Tumor Necrosis Factor beta (TNF-ß) in serum, plasma and cell culture supernatant. It applies a quantitative sandwich immunoassay technique using a pre-coated microplate of 12 x 8 well strips, with a monoclonal antibody specific to TNF-ß immobilising the analyte.

The kit reports a product range of 11-8000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of < 11 pg/ml. Detection is colorimetric, with absorbance read at 450 nm ± 2 nm following TMB substrate development and sulphuric acid termination. Total assay time is 3h. The assay shows no cross-reactivity with various other cytokines super-family proteins and detects both natural and recombinant human TNF-ß.

Two calibration diluents are supplied: Calibrator Diluent I for serum/plasma testing and Calibrator Diluent II for cell culture supernatant testing. Standards are diluted 2-fold with the appropriate calibrator diluent and assayed alongside samples, with TNF-ß concentration determined by comparing sample O.D. to a standard curve. The kit is shipped and stored at 4°C and is read on a colorimetric microplate reader.
