Human Neurotrophin 4 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human NT-4 (Neurotrophin 4) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) coated with an antibody specific for NT-4, followed by detection with Biotinylated Anti-NT-4 Antibody and HRP-Avidin conjugate. The HRP enzymatic reaction is visualised with TMB substrate, producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of the acidic stop solution, with absorbance read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

Quantitative performance specifications include a product range of 31.2-2000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of <12.3 pg/ml. Reported average recovery values are 91% for serum (n=5, range 80%-102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (n=5, range 81%-100%) and 84% for heparin plasma (n=5, range 80%-89%). Dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 is reported across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma, each tested at n=5.

The total assay time is 4h 30m. Provided kit components include a pre-coated 96 well microplate, lyophilized standard, Detection Solution A, Detection Solution B, 30X Wash Buffer, Sample Dilution Buffer, TMB Substrate, Stop Solution and plate sealers, with storage temperatures specified per component between +4°C and -20°C.
