Human Neuropeptide Y Receptor Y2 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) from Antibodies.com for the in vitro quantitative determination of human NPY2R/Y2 Receptor (Neuropeptide Y Receptor Y2) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The assay uses an antibody specific for NPY2R/Y2 Receptor pre-coated onto a microplate; standards and samples are added to the wells, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-NPY2R/Y2 Receptor Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. Colour development is achieved with TMB substrate and the reaction is stopped with acidic stop solution; the density of the resulting yellow product is proportional to the amount of NPY2R/Y2 Receptor captured, measured by absorbance at 450 nm in a colourimetric microplate reader.

Reported performance figures: assay range 0.312-20 ng/ml and sensitivity 0.114 ng/ml. Total assay time is 4h 30m. Reported mean recoveries (n=5) are serum 83-100% (average 91%), EDTA plasma 90-103% (average 96%) and heparin plasma 90-99% (average 94%). Across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16, observed recovery ranges are serum 82-108%, EDTA plasma 72-107% and heparin plasma 84-108%.

Kit components include a pre-coated microplate, lyophilised standard, Detection Solution A, Detection Solution B, 30X Wash Buffer, Sample Dilution Buffer, TMB Substrate, Stop Solution and plate sealers. Components are stored between +4°C and -20°C as instructed and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
