Human Myozenin 2 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Myozenin 2 in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay employs a microtiter plate pre-coated with an antibody specific for Myozenin 2. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, where Myozenin 2 is captured by the immobilized antibody. After incubation and washing, a Biotinylated Anti-Myozenin 2 Antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution; the density of yellow is proportional to the amount of Myozenin 2 captured, and concentration is calculated by reading the absorbance at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader.

The assay has a product range of 0.156-10 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.061 ng/ml. Total assay time is 4h 30m. The platform is a pre-coated microplate (12 x 8 well strips), and kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed. The kit should not be used past its expiration date.

Validation studies reported average recovery of 91% for serum (range 80%-102%, n=5), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81%-100%, n=5), and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80%-89%, n=5). Dilution linearity was demonstrated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma samples.
