Human Myosin VIIB ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human MYO7B (Myosin VIIB) in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The test uses a 96-well microplate pre-coated with an antibody specific for MYO7B; standards and samples are added to the wells, followed by a biotinylated anti-MYO7B detection antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then added and the enzymatic reaction stopped with acidic stop solution, producing a colour change whose intensity is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

Reported sensitivity is 0.132 ng/ml and the assay range is 0.312–20 ng/ml, with a total run time of approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Kit components include a pre-coated 96-well microplate, lyophilised standard, Detection Solutions A and B, 30X Wash Buffer, Sample Dilution Buffer, TMB Substrate, Stop Solution and adhesive plate sealers. Components are stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.

Spike-and-recovery testing (n=5) returned averages of 91% for serum (range 83–100%), 95% for EDTA plasma (range 91–100%) and 96% for heparin plasma (range 91–101%). Linearity across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16 showed ranges of 78–110% for serum, 89–109% for EDTA plasma and 82–110% for heparin plasma. The kit is intended for research use only and is not for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
