Human Methylenetetrahydrofolate Reductase ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) enables the in vitro quantitative determination of human Methylenetetrahydrofolate Reductase (MTHFR) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate supplied as 12 x 8 well strips and is reactive with human samples only.

Reported sensitivity is <0.212 ng/ml with an assay range of 0.625-40 ng/ml. The colourmetric readout is performed at 450 nm on a standard microplate reader, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and should not be used past the indicated expiry.

Validation studies (n=5) reported average recoveries of 91% for serum (80-102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (81-100%) and 84% for heparin plasma (80-89%). Dilutional linearity was demonstrated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 across the same sample types.
